I got into photography in the 8th grade thanks to a school field trip. After a few years of shooting film, I bought a DSLR in college and shot for the school newspaper, eventually working my way up to photo editor. On summer and winter breaks, I’d bring my camera to local venues and shoot the bands I grew up with, which evolved into taking band portraits, then shooting their weddings, and then just shooting a lot more.

Photography is one of my favorite ways to remember something and one of my favorite gifts to give someone else. It’s been one of the best ways that I — as an introvert — can have an in-road to a new space or group, and it’s helped me befriend some of the people I most respect and travel to some of the most interesting places I’ve been.

The things I’ve shared below represent projects and experiences that are close to my heart - things where I worked with friends, worked for friends, or simply spent time with good people.

Enjoy!

PS. As of August 2022, I’ve started a weekly-ish photo newsletter.
